E.I. surface treatment to improve corrosion resistance. E.I. provides a second layer of surface treatment is added after the anodizing process. This treatment is forced into any micro sized surface impurities giving salt no place to adhere and no chance for corrosion to start. Cross Carbon drag giving the reel smother and more durable drag performance. The ideal material for the high drag pressure setting with smoothness and consistent performance.

The Shimano Torium 16 overhead reel is built on tough foundations for saltwater fishing. The Torium range comes in four models ranging from a smaller but very versatile and capable Torium 14 size up to the tough and larger Torium 30. The torium features a 6.2:1 gear ratio which means it really performs retreiving lures and jigs.
An oversize clicker mechanism means that this reel can also be used for dead or livebait fishing jigging strayliniging and bottom fishing.The multi-washer star drag makes use of high performance Dartainium washers so the Torium’s can cope with the fastest runs from any pelagic.
